I led to improve the design system with other designers and engineers. UI components have been rearchitected and maintainable. As a result, the productivity of work flow increased.

Nowadays, design systems are crucial for product design to offer a consistent user interface as well as experience. Before I implemented the project, the design team had already built the design system but there was a lot of room to improve. For example, we maintained UI components into a page on a file. The file was also used to play ground for other features. Therefore, it often took time to load due to the file size. Moreover, it was tricky to use UI components when designers mock up from scratch.
After the research, I needed to clarify why I improve the design system again and prioritize what tasks I should address first. Talking with engineers and other designers, I realized I could contribute to increasing in productivity of our workflow. Plus, it was a great opportunity to consider how our design system works again. I defined the product design building, referring to the 5 elements of UX design. Following that definition, I scoped the tasks that I tackled in this project.
During the project, I struggled with many things such as what font sizes were not used. How we defined button sizes across the platform, and so on. However, I cultivated the support of software engineers and designers, moving forward with them step by step.
